What is a life coach?
Coaches provide perspective, guidance, support, motivation, and accountability to help you identify and achieve specific goals, unblock potential and enhance your life. Coaches pull from lived experience, training and/or education to offer their clients a goal oriented, action focused approach that’s relatable and achievable.
Confidence coaching?
Confidence is a belief in your own abilities, qualities and judgment. It can be ever-present in some areas of life, and completely lacking in others, and it can change over time. Confidence can be intentionally developed, and nurtured, over time, and coaching with an emphasis on confidence creates a personalized space for you to do just that.
This is me.
Hey. I’m Marlana, and I’m thrilled you’re here. I’m a Therapist with a license and educational background in Social Work. I own a private practice where I get to help people with OCD, Trauma and Anxieties, among other things, and I freaking love it. It’s raw, it’s real, it’s inspiring, it’s truly an honor. So why coaching, too? Fair question. And here’s the answer:
It’s different. It’s a different kind of raw and real, and a different way to utilize my skills. It’s also a place where my lived experience, education, training, and interests can all be combined to help you feel the genuine sense of joy and pride that comes with experiences of stepping into your own confidence.
Like I have.
Being able to show up for your life, as your most true self, your most authentic self, is almost indescribable. When you can say, “yes” and mean it, and say, “no” and mean it; When you can take a leap and trust- in yourself, the universe, your environment, your supports; When you can calmly get on a 24 hour flight after years of panic attacks just buying plane tickets; When you can start that business, and then another one; When you can make the decision to grow your family; When you find your people because you stopped living in fear and went to the event; When you can let go of the expectations you’ve absorbed over the years and just do what you want and need. . .
It’s indescribable. You feel strong, proud, brave, fulfilled, resilient. . . You feel like you’re living.
Over the years, I’ve realized that I love what comes after the hard work done in therapy, both as a client myself, and as helper. I love it when a client gets to choose what they want next. It’s a time for visioning, dreaming and expansion. It’s a time for coaching, and that, my friends, is why I am here.
